Recipe: French Almond Custard Fondue
From the kitchen of: Vain4

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups light cream or milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 teaspoons almond extract
dippers

Method

In saucepan, mix sugar, salt and cornstarch. Gradually stir in cream. Cook over medium heat,stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Gradually stir at least 1/2 the hot mixture into egg yolks. Blend back into hot mixture in saucepan and boil and stir for 1 minute. Pour into dessert FONDUE POT to keep warm.

DIPPERS: Cherries, grapes, pineapple chunks, brownie squares, fruitcake squares, chiffon cake squares, banana chunks, toasted waffle squares, pear slices, and strawberries.
 

Recipe:Fabulous Fruit Cake

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1tsp. baking soda
2 eggs ,slightly beaten
1 jar mincemeat
I use the kind with brandy
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups chopped mixed glazed fruit
1 cup coarsley chopped walnuts
whole glaced cherries
pre heat oven to 300f

Method

Stir together the wet stuff then add the dry stuff put into 2 bread pans put into 2 bread pans bake for 1 hr. & 20 mins.or until done. I always garnish mine with the whole cherries & walnuts  enjoy
 

Recipe Hot Maryland Crab Fondue

1 pound lump crabmeat
2 cups non-fat cottage cheese
1 cup non-fat cream cheese
2 tablespoons horseradish
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons non-fat milk
4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
4 tablespoons apple brandy or white wine (optional)
4 tablespoons onion -- finely chopped

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. If the crab meat is frozen, drain it well in a sieve, pushing the solids with paper towel to remove all the moisture. Fresh or frozen, pick over it to remove any bits of cartilage and set aside. In a food processor, puree cottage cheese, cream cheese,crabmeat, horseradish, mustard, milk, lemon juice and Cavities 3 to 4 minutes. In a small bowl, combine the cottage cheese mixture (which should be very smooth), the crab meat, onion and celery and stir until well blended. Spoon the mixture into an oven-proof dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes,  until bubbly. Sprinkle with cayenne or paprika and parsley, for garnish. Mixture may be to thick..Thin with hot skim milk, adding a little at a time till dipping consistency. Pour into fondue pot carefully Dippers : day old gingerbread squares, dates, doughnut slices, mini shrimp rolls, potato puffs.

Recipe Chocolate Fondue

3 TBS creme de cacao or orange flavored liquer
2x 8oz milk chocolate bars
2/3 cup milk
1/8 tsp salt
 

Method

Melt chocolate in  medium saucepan over low heat Add milk and salt, Stir constantly Stir in liquer Pour into fondue pot and light burner

Serve with dippers :
angel food cake
pound cake
maraschino cherries
apples
marshmallows
bananas
strawberries

Recipe Cheese Fondue Bake

3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 ½ cups soft bread crumbs
8-oz sharp American cheese, shredded (2 cups)
1 cup scalded milk
½ tsp dry mustard
¼ tsp salt
dash pepper

To Prepare:

Combine all ingredients except egg whites. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 10x6x1 ½-inch baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or til firm. Makes 6 servings.

Recipe:Hot Potato Puffs

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups instant potato buds
2 eggs, beaten
catsup

Method

heat; stir in instant puffs (mixture will be stiff). Cool;stir in eggs. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper covered baking sheets. Chill at least 2 hours; shape into balls. In metal fondue pot, heat salad oil (3 to 4 inches) to 400*F. Transer pot to source of heat at table. Adjust heat as necessary to maintain temperature of oil. Spear potato balls with fondue forks and place in hot oil, cook 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown; drain. Dip into sauce of choice or catsup. HINT: variations with dill, whole corn, onion and green pepper can be made.

(1) precooked angelfood cake
box strawberry gelatin
3 bananas
pt of strawberrys
whipped vream

Method

Cut angelfood cake in one inch cubes..and alternate with sliced bananas cut strawberry's in half and place on top..pretty side up
press down and fix geletin according to box directions pour on top of mixture chill for three hours whip cream and spread on top can substitute sugar free for diabetic not heavy..refreshing
